THERMOGENESIS
Questions and Answers

Q. Why are so many people overweight?

A. Instead of just eating to survive, we have built a whole lifestyle around food: Snacks in front of the TV, picnics, lunch dates, dinner dates, breakfast meetings, pizza parties, fast-food frenzies and holiday feasts. We are surrounded by food and many of us view it as a "reward" for our accomplishments. The average American consumes the equivalent of 1/4 cup of pure lard every day!

Q. Where does body fat come from?

A. The body stores fat both to be burned as energy and to keep us warm. Our Ice Age ancestors would not have survived without fat storage. Most of us no longer have a need for fat storage to keep us warm, however, we still need fat for energy. Whenever we go on a calorie-restricted diet, the body thinks it's starving and subsequently stores all the fat it can in order that we don't run out of energy. Fat storage is actually a survival mechanism. Unfortunately, because of our life style, our bodies store more fat than we can possibly burn. For most Americans, spare time is a luxury and when we do have some, we don't exercise ... we eat!

Q. What about dieting?

A. The reason that calorie-restrictive diets don't work is because of the fact that as you lose body fat, your metabolism slows in order to conserve your remaining fat fur use as energy. If you are more than 20 pounds over-weight and go on a calorie-restrictive diet, you lose not only fat, but also lean body mass (muscles and organs). If you have less than 20 pounds to lose, and simply cut calories, you lose lean body mass ONLY. Add to this the fact that 95% of all people who cut calories to lose weight, gain all the weight back within a year!

Q. Is there any hope?

A. Yes ... THERMOGENESIS!! In order for your body to maintain a temperature of 98.6 degrees, it is constantly burning fat. Whenever you increase your metabolic rate, you create more heat and burn more fat. In the body, "brown fat" specializes in the burning of "white fat" (blubber). Non adrenalin is a hormone produced by the adrenal glands, which activates thermogenesis in the brown fat and muscles.

Q. What is Thermogenesis?

A. Thermogenesis is the body's way of burning fat to create heat. Does this work to KEEP the fat off? YES! An effective method to stimulate thermogenesis that has recently been released for market, is by the use of natural herbs. These programs naturally increase the Thermogenesis and, therefore, burn body fat faster than normal because of the Thermojetic ingredients in these herbs.

Q. Should I take a vitamin?

A. Excess fat burn causes what is called oxidation. This releases free radicals into the system that cause the early aging of body cells, so it is important to take antioxidant herbs along with your program if you are going to be on it for a length of time. The herb Shizandra does an excellent job. The vitamins/nutrients A, C, E and Beta Carotine are also highly effective.

Q. What foods should I avoid?

A. It is advisable to cut back on fats while taking thermogenesis producing herbs. If you continue to consume fats, the herbs will work hard to eliminate the fats you are consuming, instead of eliminating body fat! Of course, this is a great way to maintain your weight once you have reached your goal. REMEMBER TO EAT while you are on thermogenesis producing herbs. If you don't feel hungry, it is easy to slip a meal. If you slip meals, the body will continue to store fat because it thinks it is starving. It is beneficial to supplement your diet with a good quality protein along with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and cell activators.

Q. What should I do if I plateau?

A. Plateaus are possible, but not likely. It usually means you have slipped back to old habits. Just stay on the program and get back to basics. MAKE SURE YOU ARE DRINKING PLENTY OF WATER!

Q. What happens when I stop taking the product?

A. Will you gain all the weight back? NO! Not if you continue to avoid unhealthy, fatty, high calorie foods. However, if you go back to old habits, what else can you expect? You can continue to take thermogenesis producing products if you know you might backslide and you want to stay slim. Another method is to stop taking them and if you notice a slight gain in weight, to take them as needed. A third possibility is to work out an "off" and "on" program for yourself. You will find that thermogenesis is not only the easiest way to lose weight, but also the easiest way to keep from regaining the weight you lost!
